Seating ChartSimplifying the classroom environment and careful classroom
seating arrangements such as placing desks in a horseshoe
array can help lessen environmental distractions. Below is
an example of a room where the teacher’s desk is facing
a semicircular grouping of children’s desks. The fluorescent
lighting in the room has been removed and lights have been
placed along the ceiling to hang over each desk and provide
a direct, non-glare light source for each child. Note: You may need to verify that your school allows modification of the room and that it meets your school's safety requirements. |
