The 4 H's
An effective teacher creates an inviting environment by greeting students upon entering the classroom each and every morning. In doing so, place the 4-H signs on the floor right inside the classroom door. Set up a procedure in which students are to stand on the sign to indicate the way in which they would like to be greeted as soon as they walk in the door. What a great way to start off the day!
