Classroom Management
Overview
 |
Enforce the rules consistently and be willing to make changes to the plan. |
|
Once you have established the classroom rules, rewards, and consequences, you must implement a management system that enforces them. At the start of the school year, much time will be spent in the area of classroom management, but it will worth it. In doing so, you will be able to spend the remainder of the year teaching rather than interrupting your lessons to deal with disruptive students.
The classroom management plans included on the next several pages have been effective in many classrooms. However, you must know that there is not a single discipline system that works automatically and is foolproof. For a management system to be effective you must be consistent in order for the plan to be predictable. You must also be willing to make changes to the plan as necessary.
